Norms and standards demand staff qualifications in the bonding sector
When bonding applications are required, mistakes are often made, which can seriously compromise quality. The whole bonding process (choosing the material, cleanliness, the right adhesive, surface treatment, and many more) needs to be considered and thought through. Unfortunately, employees often only get handed the adhesive and are left to their own devices – this way they cannot identify errors and handle them correctly.
Professional bonding courses ensure quality and fulfil the demands and standards of quality control
The Fraunhofer IFAM offers various training courses for bonding processes and this way supports businesses in their quality management. This will be more important than ever in the future. According to the DIN 6701 for the rail transport production, by the end of 2015 there will be the DIN 2304 published which should ensure safe bonding processes in this area. The understanding of the Fraunhofer IFAM is, that this new norm will also be established and apply for other market sectors. Therefore, it is absolutely crucial to start staff training and qualifications early.
