Which 3D printing resin suits which application? It depends on the load: high-toughness resins for functional, stressed parts, high-temperature resins for thermally loaded parts, ESD resins for electronics, and elastomeric resins for flexible parts. Are the resins compatible with my printer? The photopolymer resins we carry are designed for common DLP and LCD printers. Exact printer compatibility and recommended exposure and post-processing settings are given in each resin's technical data sheet.
What is an ESD or high-temperature resin? ESD resins dissipate static charge in a controlled way, protecting sensitive electronics. High-temperature resins keep their shape under elevated thermal load (indicated by heat deflection temperature, HDT) and suit tooling and fixtures.
How are 3D-printed parts post-processed? After printing, parts are cleaned (e.g. with a suitable resin cleaner) and then post-cured. Photopolymer resins reach their full mechanical properties only after curing. Matching cleaners and accessories are available in this category.
