Membership of DIN
We are delighted to announce that we are now a member of the German Institute for Standardization (DIN). For us, this is not only a great recognition of our work, but also an important step towards actively shaping the future of adhesive bonding technology. We are even more delighted that our DVS®-EWF adhesive engineer Buruk Sen will be involved in the development of adhesive technology standards in the future. For her personally, the journey with standards began in 2018 as part of her master's thesis, in which she dealt extensively with DIN 2304 and other adhesive technology standards. Since then, standards like these have been part of her everyday work—and are an integral part of our expertise.
Why are standards so important in adhesive bonding technology?
Adhesive bonding has become an indispensable part of modern production. Whether in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, or electronics—innovative adhesives ensure high-performance, secure, and durable bonds everywhere. But for adhesive bonds to be truly convincing, clear rules are needed: defined in standards such as DIN 2304. They define quality and safety standards – and ensure that companies can rely on a common understanding.
