  • Cost: €20 – €600 (varies by model)

Pneumatic cartridge guns are more expensive to purchase than manual cartridge guns and cheaper than battery-operated cartridge guns. Pneumatic cartridge guns are very durable, and spare parts are often available, making repairs possible. Feel free to inquire in our service area if you have any doubts! When extruding adhesives and sealants, pneumatic cartridge guns impress with their speed and precision. A trailing effect occurs very rarely with low-viscosity materials; most cartridge presses are equipped with a quick-release valve. For high-viscosity adhesives and sealants, there are models with higher pressure force or performance enhancement kits for existing devices. A disadvantage, however, is that a means of generating compressed air must be available for use (e.g., a compressor). The compressed air hose can be a nuisance in some applications. We recommend pneumatic cartridge presses when time and effort need to be saved during processing. Especially with 2K adhesives, pneumatic cartridge presses enable precise mixing results. In addition, a specially manufactured, retrofittable dosing system is available for most COXTM devices.

The venting in pneumatic cartridge guns – an important feature

Quick venting

The fastest method of venting is quick venting without a silencer. This offers an important advantage: The adhesive does not run back. Quick venting should be preferred for compressible and low-viscosity adhesives, as they require the fastest possible venting. The disadvantage here is the loud exhaust noise.

Schnellentlüftung

Ventilation through the silencer

The second type of venting is venting through the silencer. Due to the delayed pressure release, there may be a slight afterflow depending on the adhesive. The advantage: a dampened exhaust noise.

Entlüftung Schlldämpfer

Bleeding through the regulator on the handle

The third type of venting occurs through the regulator on the handle. Here, the air has to travel a long distance within the device until the pressure is relieved. Therefore, a trailing effect with low-viscosity adhesives is unavoidable. For compressible adhesives, this type of ventilation is not suitable.
Advantage: the diversion of air downwards and thus away from the employee's head area.
