Battery-powered cartridge guns are somewhat more expensive to purchase than pneumatic cartridge guns, but their durability is almost unlimited. All high-quality devices can be completely repaired. Motor, transmission, circuit board, and container are interchangeable. In addition, the batteries and chargers are available for reorder. Whether a repair of the battery cartridge press is worthwhile varies from model to model. Feel free to inquire with us in the service department, which conducts over 1700 repairs annually.
The extrusion of adhesives and sealants is done very evenly with battery-powered cartridge guns. Some models feature a variable extrusion speed that can be adjusted using the trigger during processing. Battery-powered cartridge guns are ideally suited for high-viscosity materials. The extrusion speed of battery-powered cartridge guns is limited, so for very low-viscosity adhesives, the use of a pneumatic cartridge gun is recommended. In addition, the reaction time after pressure relief is longer than with pneumatic cartridge presses, which can lead to material run-on in some cases.
We recommend battery-powered cartridge guns for the efficient and location-independent processing of high-viscosity sealants and adhesives. Due to the long battery life, the cartridge presses can be used on-site and not just in the workshop. In addition, there is no cable that could hinder your work. Battery-powered cartridge guns are available in some models with a built-in electric dosing system.
Types of Construction for Battery-Powered Cartridge Guns
When comparing manual, pneumatic, and battery-powered devices, it can be determined that battery-powered cartridge guns have several advantages. Especially in continuous use with highly viscous 1K adhesives or generally with 2K adhesives, battery-powered cartridge guns are usually the first choice.
In contrast to manual processing, working with battery-operated devices is more ergonomic and efficient. In addition, the extrusion with battery-powered cartridge guns is much more even than by hand.
The advantage over a pneumatic cartridge press lies in the ability to work independently of location and the better suitability for highly viscous materials. Working without compressed air and air hoses also ensures greater work safety.
The battery-powered cartridge guns themselves differ not only in their pressure force but also in their construction types. The classic battery-powered cartridge guns are well-known.
